“This that rhythm, this that lightning”

I love everything about this painting. The colors excite me and draw me in every time I catch a glimpse of this piece. Just like 2020 there are a lot of elements here that are designed to evoke big emotions. As I created this piece I jammed out to Beyoncé’s song that I borrowed the title from, “My Power”. I channeled that energy into to this piece as a statement of truth and a reminder to myself.
